What a difference – Changing for the better

What a difference a week makes. This time last week I was where I had been all day –  curled up on the sofa nursing the mother of all hangovers, carb and fat-loading in a desperate attempt to feel human again while binge-watching The Crown on Netflix.

 

This Sunday, I am just about catching my breath after my first run of the year (poor, very poor), with plans of salmon salad, yoga, a face-mask and hot bath for the evening ahead. I know what you’re thinking, oh look, another new-year-new-me surge at health and fitness that will probably last a few weeks at best. I guess, in part, you’d be right, I am feeling more motivated by the start of a new year and the thought that maybe I can get a fresh start too. But what you don’t know is that this week I’ve had more time for thinking than I have in the last year and half combined.
